Welcome to PreShoot ("PreShoot", "we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our website, web application, and related services.
By using PreShoot, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may collect the following types of information:

To personalize your experience, PreShoot may store:
After usage tracking is enabled, PreShoot records limited operational telemetry so we can operate the product, estimate AI provider cost, prevent abuse, and administer accounts. This may include:
These records are usage metadata. They are used to operate the product, estimate AI provider cost, review unusual activity, and administer accounts. They are not a copy of what you scanned or generated.
The Admin console can see account fields, plan status, and usage metadata. It does not retrieve scan images, generated ideas, Studio documents, personal history, or Director conversation contents from the usage ledger. Those materials remain in the user or workspace data stores used to provide the product. PreShoot staff do not have a dedicated Admin viewer for that content.
We do not store API keys, passwords, or access tokens in these logs. We do not store full Director conversation contents in the usage ledger. Prompt text is not written to the usage ledger.
If a feature is not enabled (for example, no email provider is configured), that data is not collected as a delivered message. Failed send attempts may still be logged as failed so operators are not shown a false “sent” status.
Users may upload images or other content for AI analysis and content generation purposes.
PreShoot itself does not manually access or review uploaded user content unless required for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or technical troubleshooting.
Payments and subscriptions are processed securely through Stripe. PreShoot does not store or directly access full credit card or payment information.
We use collected information to:
PreShoot uses third-party AI providers, including Anthropic, to generate responses and content suggestions.
Uploaded content and related prompts may be securely transmitted to these providers in order for features to function properly.
YouTube & CapCut creative research. PreShoot builds idea-specific research (style, niche, hook, and edit intent) to recommend YouTube references and CapCut template searches. When a YouTube Data API key is configured on the server, PreShoot may retrieve public video metadata (title, channel, thumbnail, view counts) to rank a shortlist — this metadata is not used to train models and is not stored as a permanent archive of your research. CapCut does not offer a public third-party OAuth API; if you “connect CapCut,” PreShoot only stores your connection preference and optional display name in your PreShoot profile so template research can unlock. PreShoot does not upload your photos to YouTube or CapCut. Opening a recommendation takes you to that platform under their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not control how third-party providers process data once transmitted through their systems. Users should also review the privacy policies of:
